Money money money ~ must be funny!

As I started thinking about this post, I kept hearing the words to that famous song “Money, Money, Money” by Abba

“Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man’s world

Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man’s world

Aha aha
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It’s a rich man’s world
It’s a rich man’s world”

But the best part, the part that resonates with me, and I’m sure a lot of you, is…

“I work all night, I work all day, to pay the bills I have to pay
Ain’t it sad
And still, there never seems to be a single penny left for me
That’s too bad

In my dreams, I have a plan
If I got me a wealthy man
I wouldn’t have to work at all, I’d fool around and have a ball”

Isn’t that SO true! Even the part about the wealthy man lol

As you heard in a recent post, I’m reading Profit First”.

What I’m reading and doing is in line with ME BECOMING a wealthy man.

I’m taking profit before I pay expenses.

Say what?!?!?!

Yes, instead of waiting and watching and HOPEFULLY having a profit at the end of the year, you set a profit percentage (usually starting with 1%) and move it on a regular basis to an account in a bank you don’t use or can not get easy access to.

Sounds TOTALLY crazy right?

I’m into my first month of taking profit first and THEN paying bills and it is a little eerie.
Being used to spying bills weekly and scratching for the money to pay me, I’ve lost track of my old system (YEAH!!) and am slowly embracing the new system.

It comes with a HUGE mindset shift in looking at the in and outflow of money.
But I’m doing what I always do, looking at the end game.
Where I want to be a year from now.

So stay tuned and if you’d like to hear more and to know how it is going, connect with me.
