Garry’s List of Trusted Resources is BACK!

Yes, it’s true…Garry’s List of Trusted Resources is BACK!

A few years ago I started a listing of resources that helped make my life easier, my work more efficient, my life easier, and above all, help communicate quickly with my team and share our work together. I would not be where I am today without these resources.

Bear with me as I add new resources on this new, easier-to-use, plugin.

Interesting little business tip…leverage everything you do.

For example, I source and use almost all of the tools and resources listed in Garry’s List.
I thought because I use them and they help me, why not share them with my colleagues…aka YOU!

Then I write about them for the professional coaching community at choice, the magazine of professional coaching ~ coaching tools column along with my dear friend Marcy Nelson-Garrison.

Finally, I write about them in this blog which is then emailed to you, posted to our Facebook page and shared with our Facebook group.

Yes…PHEW!! The process sounds exhausting but in reality, I write the basic copy and edit it to suit the different areas. Then my team takes a lot of the steps from there. It’s taken a few months to get to where we are today but it’s well worth it. Please leave comments to let me know your takeaways.

If you’re working on a content marketing strategy like I am, look at leveraging your work.

Now back to the actual Garry’s List

In the most recent issue of choice Magazine, I wrote about calendly which is an amazing scheduling system that integrates meetings with your calendar and allows you to share available meeting times with the use of a link or ‘access.’ I’ve been a user for over a year and I’m very happy with it.

Meeting types and lengths are set inside the dashboard. There are enough free options so that you can look professional and not break the bank. That being said, if you want to go all out and look like you created your own calendar system, the pricing plans are reasonable.

Up until recently, Calendly would only integrate into one type of calendar. A recent update allows it to integrate with up to six calendars! As far as I know, this is the only scheduling system that does this.

Some other really cool features are the Google extension and the phone application. If you use anything Google, especially on your computer, you can click the calendly extension icon and choose either a group of days and times or your schedule link, and paste it into your email, document, etc. The same is true for the application for your phone.

The folks at Calendly are always improving the program, with improvements and options being added very regularly.

What I really love about this system is that I now feel like I have control over my calendar and can be generous and confident enough to share it with whomever I want.
